Matthew had been our nanny-turned-household assistant for a year and ten months. He not only helped with our six-year-old daughter with behavioral and physical challenges (Cerebral Palsy, ADHD, Autism) until she was eight years old, but Matt had also become part of our family and really provided that extra support in every aspect of our life. Whether it was putting delivered groceries away, running errands, cleaning up our daughter’s accidents, helping to rake leaves, or helping us to formulate a plan to help our daughter learn self-regulation: There is nothing that he couldn’t do. We endearingly called him “Manny of All Trades.” Matt knew when to stand firm, when to nurture and when to stand by. He truly is amazing. His expertise has enhanced our family greatly.
